St. Mary's Old Cemetery Cleanup Project
Troop Neckerchief Patch
In 2011 our chartering organization, St. Mary's Visitation Parish, celebrates the 100th anniversary of the completion of the parish's church building. In preparation for the yearlong celebration, our troop helped on October 17th and November 6th with a project to rehabilitate the parish's original cemetery behind Rear Dundaff Street, off of Pancoast Street. Adam, Andrew, Ian, Karl, Tyler, Tim, Gino, and Tom were scouts who participated between the two days. Frank Klassner, Jr., Kathy Lewis, and Griff Lewis were adult participants. We helped the team of parishioners cut down and remove many wild grape vines from the cemetery's fencing, and haul away overgrown weeds. The photos here were taken October 17th. Some of those grape vines were HUGE!
